Florida Man Allegedly Cut Off Man's Penis With Scissors After He Caught Him Having Sex With His Wife
Authorities say Alex Bonilla went to his neighbor's home, held him at gunpoint and tied him up before the horrific maiming.
A Florida man has been arrested for allegedly using a pair of scissors to cut off the penis of a man he believed was having sex with his wife.
Alex Bonilla, 49, was arrested Sunday after his neighbor told Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office deputies that Bonilla had come to his Bell, Florida home earlier in the day and held him at gunpoint before forcing him up to a bedroom where the gruesome attack occurred, according to NBC News.
Bonilla allegedly forced the victim upstairs, tied him up and then severed his penis using a pair of scissors, according to a police report from the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office. Two young children were reportedly in the home at the time.
Bonilla allegedly threatened to kill the man if he resisted. He then fled, with the severed penis in hand, to his own home across the street, authorities said, according to local station WTLV.
The reported motive for the alleged attack was Bonilla catching the man having sex with his wife back in May.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition. It’s not known whether doctors were able to reattach his missing body part.
Bonilla was taken into custody shortly before 3 p.m., several hours after the alleged assault.
Bonilla is now facing charges of burglary, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, the use of a firearm and two counts of cruelty toward a child after the alleged attack, according to authorities.
He is being held on $1.25 million bond.
