A judge sentenced Charles Polevich to one year for hit-and-run crash that killed Robert Maraj, Nicki Minaj's father. Maraj's widow called the sentence a "slap in the face for the family."

Kenneth Petty received three years of probation and one of home confinement for failing to register as a sex offender — a requirement of his 1995 attempted rape conviction. 

Charles Polevic has pleaded guilty to killing Robert Maraj, the father of pop star Nicki Minaj, in a hit-and-run accident in Feb. 2021.

Kenneth Petty, who is scheduled to be sentenced in January, could face up to 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release.

Kenneth Petty reportedly faces up to a decade in prison if convicted for previous registration violations.

Jelani Maraj was accused in 2015 of routinely raping his stepdaughter, beginning when she was 11 years old.
