He's one of the most famous serial killers of all time — and he's never been identified
In the 1880s, London was terrorized by Jack the Ripper, a person who murdered and mutilated five women from impoverished backgrounds in the Whitechapel neighborhoods. The Ripper's killing spree has been extensively explored — but "On The Trail Of Jack The Ripper" takes a deeper dive than ever before. The gripping nonfiction read, authored by Richard Charles Cobb and Mark Davis, is Oxygen Book Club's February 2022 pick.
Here's what to expect from the book, according to the synopsis:
"True crime and social historians Richard C. Cobb and Mark Davis return to the Whitechapel of 1888 to see what remains from this dark time in London's history and to take the reader on a step-by-step tour of the modern world of Jack the Ripper, giving a detailed history of the victims, the crimes, and the police investigation. We also look at other victims (outside the accepted five) which may have been killed by the same man.
