Thirty-three years after the disappearance of Evelyn ""Laverne"" Mackey, cold case investigators look back into her vanishing. Her daughter, Kelly Carpenter, had continuously been in contact with the sheriff's office over the years to check on their progress. ""This case was a 33-year-old case without a body, and that makes it one of the hardest cases to solve,"" said Hernando County Sheriff's Office Detective Randy Williamson.
