XXXTentacion Murder Suspect Begs Judge To Let Him Out Of Jail Because His Wife Is Pregnant
Robert Allen is one of four men charged with gunning down controversial rapper in a June robbery attempt.
One of the four men charged in the murder of rising rap star XXXTentacion is pleading with a judge to let him out of jail because his wife is pregnant.
Robert Allen argues that because there is no proof connecting him to the killing of the controversial artist, and his spouse is expecting, he should be allowed to post bail, according to TMZ.
Allen, who goes by the nicknames “Big Rob” and “Fat Boy,” was the first suspect identified by police after four men allegedly gunned down the 20-year-old rapper in June.
Police believe the group had hoped to rob XXXTentacion outside a Florida motorcycle dealership ― a score that would reportedly have netted over $50,000 in cash, which the 20-year-old had with him in a Louis Vuitton bag.
Cops unearthed footage of Allen and another suspect, Michael Boatwright, renting the getaway vehicle used in the robbery-turned-homicide, according to The Miami Herald.
Allen and Boatwright, along with Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome, were charged July 19 with first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.
Allen, the third suspect cuffed in the high-profile case, was captured by cops in Georgia on July 25, according to TMZ.
Newsome surrendered himself to police on Aug. 7, according to The Miami Herald.
Allen, who works for a lawn service company in Broward County, lives with his mother. He remains behind bars.
XXXTentacion burst into hip-hop's mainstream in 2017, the same year he was charged with four felony counts of brutally assaulting a former girlfriend.
"SAD!", his debut major-label single, topped the Billboard 100 charts after his death.
