Fiancé Arrested In Disappearance Of Missing Colorado Mom
Patrick Frazee is in custody after multiple searches of his property were conducted by law enforcement investigating the disappearance of Kelsey Berreth.
The fiancé of a Colorado mother who vanished on Thanksgiving has been arrested, officials have confirmed.
Kelsey Berreth, 29, of Woodland Park, Colorado, was last seen shopping for groceries on Thanksgiving Day. Investigators believe her fiancé, Patrick Frazee, was the last person to see her alive, the Associated Press reports.
Teller County sheriff’s Cmdr. Greg Couch told the AP that Patrick Frazee was arrested Friday morning in Woodland Park, Colorado.
Couch said he could not immediately provide any information about charges.
Earlier this week, authorities announced they wanted to speak with Frazee directly. Frazee had previously communicated with police through his attorney, but not directly, authorities have said.
Last week, investigators searched Frazee's 35-acre property, located in a small town south of Denver called Florissant and on Sunday, officials announced that the search was complete with no trace of Berreth. But, as the Denver Channel and KOAA in Southern Colorado reported, it is believed that officials were searching his property once again on Thursday night.
Frazee said he saw Berreth on Thanksgiving Day when she dropped off their 1-year-old daughter. Three days after Berreth was last seen, a text was sent from her phone telling an employee at Doss Aviation, a flight school in Colorado Springs where she worked as an instructor, that she would be taking the rest of the week off. That same day, Berreth's phone pinged from Gooding, Idaho, which is 700 miles away from her home, according to East Idaho News.
Earlier this week, Frazee's attorney Jeremy Loew told the Associated Press that his client is cooperating and encouraged police to take the necessary steps “to exclude Patrick Frazee as a possible suspect in this missing person investigation.”
