'You Don't Have The Balls To Do It,' Victim Says Before Girlfriend Allegedly Stabs Him
The victim needed a seven-hour open heart surgery to recover after Nicole Pelletier reportedly attacked him.
A teen girl from Florida allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the chest with a steak knife after accusing him of cheating on her.
Nicole Pelletier, 18, and her 23-year-old boyfriend were arguing in their Broward County apartment about infidelity when she allegedly grabbed a steak knife and threatened him on June 28th, 2019.
"I will kill you and everybody in this house,” she allegedly told him, according to an arrest report obtained by WPLG in Miami.
The victim apparently thought she was bluffing and said, according to that report, "You don't have the balls to do it.”
The man was stabbed once in the left side of his chest.
He then reportedly ran to get help from Pelletier's mother, and Pelletier herself apparently helped her boyfriend after she stabbed him. She used a towel to apply pressure to the stab wound, the wound she allegedly created, while they waited for first responders.
The victim was rushed to a hospital where he had to endure a seven-hour open heart surgery as a result of the stabbing. The sack around his heart, as well as his lungs, were drowning in blood, WPLG reports.
Pelletier first claimed to investigators that her boyfriend had a seizure, which caused him to fall on a knife.
Pelletier initially faced attempted first-degree murder charges but that was downgraded to aggravated battery with a deadly weapon on Saturday, according to WPLG.
The couple has a 6-month-old daughter together who was home during the violent incident. She was not harmed.
