Idaho Adult Film Actress Accused Of Masterminding Murder-For-Hire Scheme Pleads Not Guilty
Katrina Danforth, who's performed in adult films under the pseudonym Lynn Pleasant, allegedly attempted to have someone with the initials "R.H." killed.
An adult film actress from Post Falls, Idaho who was accused of concocting a murder-for-hire plot toward the end of 2018 has pled not guilty to her alleged role in the scheme.
On Wednesday, Katrina Danforth, 31, who has performed in pornographic films under the pseudonym Lynn Pleasant, appeared in a federal court in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and entered five not guilty pleas in relation to five counts of using interstate commerce in the commission of murder-for-hire, according to local newspaper The Spokesman-Review.
A federal judge set a trial date for March 4. Danforth will remain in custody until then, according to the paper.
She faces up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines if convicted for each count. However, according to The Spokesman-Review, she would likely face much less time in prison since she has no prior felony convictions.
Danforth tried to have somebody with the initials “R.H.” killed, according to court records. No other details about the case were made available.
“I don’t really know, precisely …” Danforth told local outlet KHQ when asked when she was arrested. She said she was shocked over the allegations. “I would just say more stand by and [...] follow along with me and find out what goes on and how it goes.”
She was arrested Dec. 19 at Spokane International Airport in Washington State, according to The Associated Press. She made her initial court appearance that same day, The Spokesman-Review reports.
