Former Teacher Goes On Racist Tirade In Dollar Tree: ‘Jesus Was White, Not Black’
“Individuals who go to be an educator are not racist," claims the woman caught on video.
Pamela Sharma, who was caught on video during a racist tirade at a Dollar Tree store in Gwinnett County, Georgia, is now claiming she is the victim of racism.
According to AJC, Sharma maintains that an escalating argument in the store over where to put items she no longer wanted to purchase led her to make a handful of regretful comments.
"Jesus was white, not black," Sharma can be heard roaring on the video.
"Keep recording black Momma," she also screamed.
“I wasn’t racist initially and I wasn’t racist in the middle, it’s not until I became the victim of racism,” Sharma says. “The clerk got agitated and snatched [my items] and said, “You pieces of trash, why don’t you go back to your country."
Alise Fowler, who Sharma was arguing with, has a different version of the events: “She’s telling me she’s going to beat my ass,” Fowler said. “She called me a black bitch. A black whore."
“Talking to somebody like this is never OK,” Fowler added elsewhere. “Being evil, is never OK.”
“So, I have taught at black schools, I’ve taught at Latino schools,” Sharma has replied. “Individuals who go to be an educator are not racist.”
Sharma now says she'd like to meet with Fowler and discuss the situation: “I want you to come with me and have a heart-to-heart,” Sharma said.
Sharma is not facing any criminal charges over the incident.
