Former Playmate From 'The Girls Next Door' Arrested For Meth Possession
Valerie Mason was featured in five episodes of "The Girls Next Door," a show about Hugh Hefner's Playboy Bunny girlfriends.
A former Playboy Playmate, who appeared in multiple episodes of “The Girls Next Door,” has been arrested in Louisiana and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle carrying Valerie Mason Friday night after an officer noticed one of the car’s brake lights had gone out, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Although Mason, 31, didn’t have any drugs on her, the deputy found two grams of suspected methamphetamine in a plastic container of the car’s passenger door panel. Mason had been riding in the front passenger side of the vehicle.
The car was being driven by Steven Munholland. The deputy also found two hypodermic needle caps inside the coin pocket of Munholland’s pants during his search.
A hypodermic needle cap was also found next to the seat where a third passenger, Brandon Link, had been sitting in the rear of the vehicle, the affidavit said.
All three people traveling in the car denied owning the methamphetamine, however, all three were arrested.
They were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a schedule II felony.
Mason was released on a $3,000 bond on Saturday afternoon, according to The New York Daily News.
The Louisiana native was featured in Playboy in September of 2008 and later went on to appear in five episodes of “The Girls Next Door,” an E! reality show that chronicled the lives of Hugh Hefner’s live-in girlfriends at the time.
The show initially starred Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson before later introducing Crystal Harris and identical twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon as the former Playboy mogul’s leading ladies. Episodes also frequently included appearances by other one-time Playmates.
