Florida Man Allegedly Stabbed Roommate Over Nude Photos On Christmas
"You are going to die today," Donavon Lee Foster allegedly told his roommate of just three days before stabbing him seven times, deputies said.
A male bonding session over nude photos nearly turned deadly for one Florida man, who was allegedly stabbed seven times on Christmas by his roommate after he told the man's girlfriend he had seen the x-rated images.
Donavon Lee Foster, 30, of Holiday, Florida, was arrested and charged with premeditated attempted murder after authorities said he showed his new roommate of just a few days, William Nelton, nude photos of his girlfriend on Christmas Eve.
When Foster later spoke to his girlfriend on the phone on Christmas morning, Nelton allegedly told the woman he had seen the photos, enraging his new roommate, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Pasco County Sheriff's deputies said after getting off the phone, Foster allegedly grabbed two knives and told Nelton "you are going to die today," before violently attacking him.
Nelton suffered stab wounds to his neck and arms, totaling seven stab wounds all together, during two separate physical attacks. His nose was also broken during the altercation, the local paper reports.
Foster reportedly called his girlfriend after the attack and she was able to convince him to take Nelton to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
He later told deputies that the attack had been in self-defense after Foster confronted his roommate about making sarcastic comments about the images, deputies said.
Foster claimed he had only cut Nelton's arms during the attack and didn't know how the other injuries had occurred.
In addition to the premeditated attempted murder charge, Foster, who is being held in Pasco County jail, is also facing a parole violation.
According to jail records, Foster was also arrested in 2016 for domestic battery by strangulation but was released.
