The victim's roommate was also injured in the knife attack as Dallas police seek the public's help in identifying the suspect.
Police in Dallas, Texas are on the hunt for a man who allegedly followed a woman walking her dog before stabbing her to death and also stabbing her roommate.
On Friday evening, police were called to the Churchill on the Parks Apartments where two stabbing victims were found in their apartment, according to police. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to a nearby hospital. After canvassing the area and interviewing several residents, homicide detectives “determined that the deceased victim went outside to walk her pet and was followed back to her apartment by an unknown white male suspect who was wearing a white and red t-shirt with black design.”
The suspect is being described as 6'0" to 6'2" with a tall, skinny frame, and wavy hair. Police have also released a sketch of the suspect.
The surviving victim's condition is unclear. KDFW in Dallas Fort Worth has identified the second victim as a female roommate of the deceased victim. A motive for the attack is unclear.
