Video Shows Intruders Break Into Home And Terrorize Residents With Meat Cleaver
"They were busting TVs, fish tanks, our curio cabinet," Joey Maczis, one of the residents of the home, said.
Surveillance footage shows the moment when two intruders broke into a home in Pennsylvania, where they wreaked havoc and assaulted a resident who was playing cards, reported WPVI, a Philadelphia-based outlet.
The attack happened Monday after midnight in Littlestown.
Residents Aric and Joey Maczis said they saw a masked man and a woman holding a meat cleaver and wooden pole break into their home. The pair were playing cards with a friend when the attackers came in.
“He asked for money or something and then I saw he had the meat cleaver so I jumped up to defend my family,” Aric Maczis told WPMT. He was then beaten on the head with the cleaver, he said.
“He [the male suspect] threw the pipe at her [the other intruder] and told her to kill my wife," he added.
Joey Maczis said she ran to the front door screaming for help while their friend ran upstairs to hide.
“I just immediately jumped over the table to run for help because it felt like we were going to die," said Joey Maczis. “I didn’t think my husband was going to make it out.”
The residents survived, but they said the two suspects began bashing everything in sight.
"They were busting TVs, fish tanks, our curio cabinet," Joey Maczis told WPMT.
Police believe the home was targeted.
Adams County Crime Stoppers shared a video of the suspects in hopes that someone will be able to identify them.
