Teen Sticks Out Tongue In Mugshot After Allegedly Drunk Driving At 100 Miles Per Hour
Macayl Kunkle faces 13 charges after allegedly speeding down a freeway and whizzing by a marked sheriff’s car.
What a Kunkle-head.
A teen in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York stuck out his tongue for a memorable mugshot after allegedly drunk driving at more than 100 miles per hour. He now faces 13 charges.
Macayl Kunkle, of Amherst, was spotted by Erie County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday night speeding down Interstate 90. Most of the freeway requires drivers to take heed to 65 miles per hour speed limits but in some spots it is 55 miles per hour.
Kunkle, 19, seemed to ignore the speed signs as he allegedly whizzed by a marked sheriff’s vehicle on the thruway, police said. Police pulled him over and found a 15-year-old girl in his passenger seat. She was safe and turned over to a parent. Her connection to Kunkle was not immediately clear.
Police said Kunkle failed field tests and a breathalyzer test. He allegedly blew more than twice the legal limit despite not being of legal drinking age.
Then he stuck out his tongue when it came time for his mugshot.
Kunkle has been charged with felony aggravated DWI in addition to misdemeanor counts of DWI, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment. He was also charged with drinking alcohol in a vehicle on a highway, speeding, operating a vehicle without insurance and several other vehicle and traffic law violations, according to police.
Kunkle has been released after posting a $750 bail.
