Liz Hurley's Young Model Nephew Stabbed Multiple Times
Miles Hurley was stabbed multiple times on the streets of London.
Actress Liz Hurley's nephew was stabbed multiple times in the streets of London, England. Miles Hurley, a 21-year-old rising model, was stabbed Thursday evening, People reported.
Initially, the Metropolitan Police do not reveal names of victims involved in the incident. However, officials later confirmed to People that they were called at 8:52 p.m. to Ascalon Street in South West London. Miles Hurley was found with stab wounds to the back. Another man, who is also believed to be 21 years old, was also found sustaining stab wounds.
It is not clear still what caused the stabbing. “They are believed to have been attacked by a group of males who got out of a vehicle and assaulted them before fleeing the scene,” officials described.
The victims were taken to the hospital. Authorities implied that the injuries were not serious, describing "their conditions are described as not life-threatening or life-changing."
Liz Hurley, who is currently on "The Royals," took to Twitter to share her thoughts after the incident and added that authorities are seeking the public's help for assistance in the case. "My 21 year old nephew was repeatedly stabbed in a brutal attack in London on Thursday night. The police & hospital are being fantastic. Thank you for all your messages. It is an appalling time for him & our family. The police will be appealing for witnesses."
Miles Hurley is signed with Next Model Management. The 6-foot-2-inch young man is the son of Liz's sister Kate, and has been modeling for approximately eight years. He was scouted, as The Daily Telegraph noted, in 2013, when he was 13 years old. "To be honest I hadn't thought about it then but in the last 3 years I've been building up my portfolio and I absolutely love it now. I want to be really successful," he told the publication.
He added that he and his famous aunt were close. "I'm really close to my aunt and she's very supportive of everything I do," he said. "The best advice she has given me is just to enjoy myself, work hard and be nice to everybody."
