Former 'Teen Mom' Boyfriend Arrested On Attempted Murder Charge In Alleged Stabbing
Drew Alexander Brooks, who dated Rachel Beaver on "Teen Mom," allegedly stabbed a man named Kodie Mason in Tennessee on Sunday.
A former boyfriend who starred on MTV's “Teen Mom” has been arrested on an attempted murder charge in connection with a stabbing over the weekend.
Drew Alexander Brooks, 22, was arrested on Wednesday in Monroe County, Tennessee, according to online jail records. He has been charged with attempted murder and is being held without bond.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately return Oxygen.com’s request for comment.
The former reality show subject is accused of stabbing a man named Kodie Mason on Sunday, Law&Crime reports. The victim was stabbed in his “lower left stomach area,” according to an affidavit obtained by the outlet. Mason told investigators that Brooks was the one who stabbed him as he was being loaded into an ambulance at Sweetwater Hospital in Sweetwater, Tenneesse to be flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, 50 miles away in Knoxville.
Mason added that Brooks had stabbed him after an altercation outside his home, the affidavit says
A detective noted in the affidavit that they “then responded to the address of the incident and did locate a medium sized blood stain on the dirt road where Mr. Mason said the stabbing took place.” Two witnesses allegedly confirmed Mason's statement.
Brooks starred on “Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant” in 2019 as the ex-boyfriend of mom Rachel Beaver. While it was unclear if he was the father during the episode, Beaver later confirmed he was the dad, In Touch Weekly reported in March.
He was also arrested in the same county last month on an unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon charge, which was later dropped, US Weekly reports. He was previously arrested in 2018 for theft of property and was arrested again in 2020 for allegedly violating the terms of his parole. In 2020, Brooks was charged with criminal impersonation and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Brooks due in court on April 18. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
