A former “Survivor” contestant has been indicted on rape and aggravated assault charges.
Silas Gaither, 41, was brought into custody on Monday for charges stemming from an alleged 2018 incident, Shelby County Criminal Court records show.
The reality show suspect, who hails from Germantown, Tennessee, was released the following day after posting a $50,000 surety bond.
He will next appear in court on January 9, 2020, according to E! Online.
Further information about the allegations has not yet been released.
Gaither competed as a castaway on the third season of the hit CBS reality television show “Survivor” that aired back in 2001 through 2002 inside Kenya’s Shaba National Reserve.
He didn't last very long, having been voted off in the sixth episode in a tribe swap, according to TMZ.

He apparently left Germantown to try to make it as a bartender in West Los Angeles while pursuing an acting career before appearing on the show.
Gaither also boxed for three years while attending the University of Tennessee. He graduated with a finance degree, according to his bio.
