Texas Woman Allegedly Texted Boyfriend 'I Want U To Die' Just Hours Before He's Shot To Death

A Texas woman told police she shot her boyfriend to death because he had been threatening her—but just hours earlier she made her own threats over text message, according to authorities.

“I don’t want to be civil I want u to die lmao,” Shohreh Rachelle Polozadeh, 20, allegedly told 22-year-old Quincey Brooks Jr., according to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Dallas Morning News.

Polozadeh, 20, is now facing a murder charge in the slaying of Brooks, her boyfriend and the father of her young son.

Dallas Police discovered Brooks “lying on the breezeway floor with a gunshot wound” at an apartment around 6:44 p.m. on June 8, according to a statement from authorities.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police arrested Polozadeh for the slaying after they said she made contradictory and misleading statements to authorities.

Polozadeh agreed to speak to detectives without an attorney about her boyfriend of three years, telling authorities he had been “constantly threatening to harm” her throughout their relationship, according to police.

Brooks had been staying with her for about a week, but she had asked him to move out and collect his things the night he was killed, according to the affidavit.

The couple exchanged threats throughout the day with Polozadeh texting Brooks around 4:28 p.m. with the message about her wanting him dead, authorities said.

Polozadeh told police that when she got home with the couple’s 2-year-old son, Brooks was waiting for her and forcibly pushed her up the stairs and into her apartment, according to the affidavit, also obtained by KTVT.

She said he began yelling and screaming at her, before pushing her to the ground and causing her to hit her head.

As the conflict continued to escalate, Polozadeh told police Brooks picked up a lighter and tried to “set her on fire," according to the court documents.

She said he grabbed an aerosol can of Raid and threatened to use it, along with the lighter, to kill her.

Polozadeh told police she took the gun from her pocket and shot Brooks in the chest, sending him out the door and into the breezeway where he collapsed.

However, police said Polozadeh later admitted during questioning that she knew the lighter “wouldn’t lit a candle,” the affidavit stated.

Investigators also did not find the lighter or gun where Polozadeh had said they were.

The 20-year-old is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail.
