Woman Claimed She Discovered Her Boyfriend Dead In Recliner — But Investigators Think She Killed Him
Sharron Ivette Allen claimed she found Michael Renard Foxx dead in a chair with stab wounds.
A North Carolina woman claims she woke up from a nap to find her boyfriend dead in a recliner, but investigators aren’t buying her story.
Sharron Ivette Allen, 53, called 911 on Wednesday evening to report her boyfriend, Michael Renard Foxx, 51, as unresponsive at their Lillington home, according to a Harnett County Sheriff’s Office press release obtained by Oxygen.com.
When Harnett County deputies and EMS workers arrived, they found Foxx dead inside a recliner. Allen claimed that she took a nap and awoke to find Foxx unresponsive in that chair.
Investigators immediately found Allen’s story suspicious.
They allegedly found evidence at the scene which contradicted her story. Additionally, they discovered small wounds on Foxx's body, according to police. The medical examiner's office determined that the small wounds on his body were actually stab wounds.
Allen was arrested on Friday on a murder charge, according to online records. She is being held on no bond.
Foxx is being remembered as a man who enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and dirt bikes, according to his online obituary.
“Mike deeply loved his children,” the obituary stated. “He loved people. He had a way with everyone that made it easy for anyone to love him and respond to him. He was a kind and pleasant person and so easy to get along with.”
It’s not clear if Allen has a lawyer who can speak on her behalf.
She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 24.
