Woman Is All Smiles In Mugshot After She's Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing Husband To Death
Shanda Johnson-Williams is suspected of killing her husband, Jamie Williams, in their Fort Towson, Oklahoma home.
An Oklahoma woman was all smiles in an eerie mugshot after being arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband to death.
Shanda Johnson-Williams, 48, was taken into custody Tuesday by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office after her husband, 48-year-old Jamie Williams, was found dead in his home, according to a statement released by authorities.
Williams was discovered unresponsive in his Fort Towson home on Sunday by the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, who requested the assistance of the OSBI during the investigation into Williams’ death.
Authorities called paramedics after discovering Williams unconscious; however, by the time the paramedics arrived at the scene Williams had already died, according to the OSBI.
A medical examiner assigned to the case determined that he died from a stab wound.
Little information has been released about the circumstances of the 48-year-old’s death; however, the investigation soon led authorities to suspect his wife was the killer.
Johnson-Williams was arrested Tuesday at a residence in Fort Towson and taken to the Choctaw County Jail, where she was booked on first-degree murder charges.
Her bond will be set at her arraignment, the OSBI said. It’s not clear whether Johnson-Williams has retained an attorney to represent her, Fox News reports.
Authorities did not provide any additional details about the couple’s relationship or identify a possible motive in the slaying. However, in her mug shot Johnson-Williams is seen with a wide grin spread across her face.
Fort Towson is located about 160 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
