Former "90 Day Fiancé" Star Charged with Possessing, Distributing Child Pornography
At least one of the images found on Mike Eloshway's computer “involved a prepubescent minor or a minor who had not attained 12 years of age," according to an indictment.
An Ohio man who appeared on the TLC reality show 90 Day Fiancé has been charged with child porn possession.
Mike Eloshway, 40, is charged with one count of possessing child pornography, and one count of the receipt and distribution of visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to court records obtained by WHIO-TV.
An indictment against Eloshway said the one-time reality TV star downloaded “numerous” child pornography videos between February 13, 2022 and March 27, 2023, Cleveland newspaper The Plain Dealer reported.
Eloshway “did knowingly receive and distribute, using any means and facility of interstate and foreign commerce, numerous computer files, which files contained visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit content,” according to Law & Crime, citing the June 15 indictment against Eloshway.
Prosecutors also alleged that Eloshway “did knowingly possess a black HP Desktop computer that contained child pornography.” At least one of those images, the indictment said, “involved a prepubescent minor or a minor who had not attained 12 years of age.”
Eloshway appeared on the first season of 90 Day Fiancé in 2014, which showcased American citizens whose overseas-born fiancés come to live with them for a 90-day period — the amount of time a K-1 visa grants to the foreign fiancé or fiancée of a U.S. citizen to get married after entering the country — before having to decide whether to marry or send their partners home.
Season 1 featured Eloshway meeting his now-wife, Aziza Mazhidova. At the time, Eloshway was 31 and Aziza, an Uzbekistan native, was 21, The Plain Dealer reported. When denied a work visa, Aziza — who has since taken her husband’s last name — applied for a K-1 visa and came to the United States.
The two met on a language learning website and, after getting married, announced the birth of their daughter in January of 2019, In Touch reported.
The charges against Eloshway can carry sentences of up to 20 years, according to Law & Crime.
Eloshway’s arraignment is scheduled for Wednesday.
