Police Officer and Pregnant Woman Allegedly Beat Up Partner after Discovering Love Triangle
The two women found out an unnamed man had allegedly been cheating on the both of them.
A Miami-Dade police officer and a pregnant woman were arrested and charged with battery after fighting a man they were both allegedly dating.
Miami-Dade Police Officer Anna Elicia Perez, 34, and Mila Zuloaga, 35, were taken into custody just after midnight on May 26, following an alleged altercation at Miller's Ale House in Palmetto Bay, according to an arrest report cited by the New York Post. The two women were confronting a man, whose name has not been revealed, over his alleged "infidelity" when the conversation turned violent, the outlet reported.
"The officer and pregnant woman intentionally struck the victim on the face and upper body with their hands multiple times," said police, CBS News reported. The man was reportedly left with bruises and a red lip.

According to the arrest report, Zuloaga, who is seven-months pregnant, lives with the man, while Perez had been dating him. It's unclear if the women had planned to confront him together.
Perez, an officer with the Miami-Dade Police Department, has since been placed on paid leave pending the results of an investigation.
"I am disappointed by this officer’s actions,” Miami-Dade Police Director Alfredo Ramirez said in a statement to Oxygen.com. “We are held to a higher standard of conduct on and off duty. Although this officer was off duty, her behavior was unacceptable and it goes against the core values of our department. We will work closely with the State Attorney’s Office and ensure a thorough and transparent investigation."
Zuloaga was taken to the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Victim’s Bureau and issued bond on May 28. A pre-trial stay away order was also issued, as is customary in domestic violence cases. Zuloaga has been appointed a public defender and her arraignment has been set for June 14, according to court records.
Perez has also been released on $1,500 bond, though court records show that the alleged victim filed an affidavit of non-prosecution, indicating that the man would like to drop the charge, according to court records. Oxygen.com reached out to Perez's attorney for comment and didn't hear back.
