Seth Stoughton, a professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, judged the ex-cop's actions against what a reasonable police officer in the same situation would have done, and repeatedly found that Chauvin did not meet the test.

“I am honestly afraid to get out,” Caron Nazario, a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Army, said in a viral video after being pulled over in Windsor, Virginia by two police officers, one of whom responded that he "should be" afraid.
