Arizona Man Who Allegedly Murdered Woman In Front Of Her Three Kids Rebuked In Court By Victim's Mother

An Arizona man was rebuked at a court hearing by the mother of a woman he allegedly murdered in May. He is alleged to have killed the woman in front of her children, then left the toddlers injured and starving inside her home. 

Shavone Robinson, 30, was found dead on May 17 in a pool of blood, having been stabbed in the neck, face, and upper body, police said. They were alerted to the home after her three children — two toddlers and an infant — yelled to neighbors for help and food. Police who arrived at the scene had to use a ladder to get onto the patio to help the young children and gain access to the apartment, according to a report from local outlet Arizona Family. 

Once inside they found the infant with multiple skull fractures. The two toddlers on the patio, aged 3 and 2, were vomiting and dehydrated, according to court documents. 

"I think the death penalty? That's too easy," the victim's mother said to Andree Daniels at a virtual hearing last week. "I would like for you to live until God takes you. I would like you to suffer behind those bars."

Daniels was arrested last week and has been charged with first-degree murder and child abuse. He's being held in Phoenix on a $3 million bond. At his court hearing on Friday, he chose not to respond to the questions and statements from Robinson’s mother, who was not named in official records.

How could you do this?" the woman asked during Friday's proceedings, according to the local outlet, which covered the hearing. "What did she do to you to have you take her away from me?

“I hope you rot. Just rot away! He really destroyed our family...and I don't know why. You did all of this and left all this for my young babies to see this? And she laid there for who knows how many days? And the kids were there watching their mom? You are a very, very sick person!"

Detectives said they believe that Daniels is the father of the infant and wanted Robinson to undergo an abortion when she was pregnant, AZFamily reported.

Robinson’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs, support her orphaned children, and ask for prayers from the community.

“We are a family that doesn't ask for much but in the time of grieving for our deceased baby sister and for her four motherless children under the age of six. We need the help of the community with funeral costs and help with her children,” the page statement reads. “We are not just asking for monetary contributions, we're also asking for prayer to help our family with our loss.”

Daniels is being held on a $3 million bond; It was unclear if he has an attorney who can speak on his behalf
