Buried in the Backyard Bonus: Impersonating Paul Gruber (Season 2, Episode 6)

Detective Sergeant Robert Floberg from the Pierce County Sheriff's Office recalls how Darryl Kuehl impersonated murder victim Paul Gruber. Gruber was gunned down by handyman Kuehl in 1994 at Gruber's home near Muskrat Lake, Idaho. In the six to seven weeks following the murder, Kuehl drained Gruber's financial accounts and began impersonating him by forging his signature in various documents. In 1995, Paul's body was found wrapped in a plastic air mattress and buried him four feet under his house.
