According to law enforcement officials, Clark Russel had a long criminal history that continued after he murdered Alma Zuniga, a 23-year-old from Oxnard, California. About a year after he killed Zuniga, he committed an attempted murder in Oxnard, shooting a couple while they sat in their car near the beach. They both lived. In December 2014, Russel was found guilty of first-degree murder in connection with Zuniga's death.
