Ex-GF Caught In Revenge Porn Scandal With Rugby Player Is Found Dead In Her Home

Brittany Hura, the ex-girlfriend of National Rugby League star Bryce Cartwright, has been found dead in her home. According to the New York Post, Hura had leaked nude images of Cartwright seven months before her death.

Hura had previously been charged with stalking and using a cell service to menace (she had threatened to kill Cartwright), but the charges had been dismissed "on mental health grounds."

“You think I’m laughing because I’m mentally f***ed up?” She said in a video posted last year after releasing explicit text messages exchanged between her and Cartwright. “I’m not mentally f***ed up, I’m just laughing at you… you’re going to be dead soon. In the grave… six feet under… you don’t even know what’s coming at you. You can’t even pleasure a girl… all you have to do is throw money at them. Bro, you’re gone … chick chick pew.”

“It’s absolutely devastating and shattering… it’s tragic. I’ve known her for quite some time before she was my client, I worked with her in a bar for a few years. My condolences to her family," said Paul Cramer, the lawyer who represented Hura during the revenge porn ordeal.

"A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death and a report prepared to the coroner," a police spokesperson said.

Cartwright had conspicuously been at the center of a different scandal after it was allegedly discovered that he had paid over $50,000 for a former girlfriend to have an abortion.

No arrests have been reported in this case, nor have any suspects been identified.
