‘With No Dress No Makeup No Ring:’ Cardi B And Migos’ Offset Secretly Married For Almost A Year
The "Bodak Yellow" rapper tweeted that getting married was a moment she wanted to keep for herself.
Looks like those exes aren’t getting a second chance, because Cardi B is already taken.
Cardi B and Migos’ Offset have been married for almost a year and managed to keep it a secret until Sunday evening, surprising their fans.
Offset made the revelation on stage while accepting the Best Group award at the BET Awards, saying “I thank my wife, you should thank yours.”
Cardi B later confirmed the marriage in a tweet, saying that this was one of the moments she wanted to keep for herself.
“[It]...was one morning in September and we woke up and decided to get married,” she wrote. “I said I do, with no dress no makeup no ring.”
A marriage certificate obtained by TMZ confirmed surprise marriage. The date on the certificate shows they were married on September 20, 2017, in Fulton County in Georgia.
They were engaged in October last year at a concert in Philadelphia last year, when Offset dropped to his knees in the middle of a performance. Even though this was a month after their secret marriage, Cardi B looked genuinely surprised and excited, faking fans out everywhere.
“I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger and he did that for me!!” she wrote in her tweet.
