Man Allegedly Tried To Run Over His Girlfriend And Her Children After She Refused To Sleep With Him
Police say 62-year-old Benjamin Blount attempted to run over his girlfriend and her children twice.
A Louisiana man was arrested earlier this week after allegedly trying to run over his girlfriend and her three children after she refused to have sex with him.
According to WAFB-TV, 62-year-old Baton Rouge resident Benjamin Blount and his girlfriend got into an argument early Sunday morning after she refused to sleep with him. The police report states that Blount reacted violently, holding the woman down by her throat in the kitchen before the woman's 9-year-old daughter jumped on his back.
The woman and her children then fled to a nearby restaurant parking lot, CBS News reports, where Blount found them while they were waiting for someone to pick them up. Blount then attempted to run them over in his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, the arrest report states; when that attempt failed, he made a u-turn and allegedly attempted to hit them a second time, but they avoided injury by diving behind a dumpster.
Blount fled the scene but was later arrested on charges of second-degree kidnapping, battery, child endangerment, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
