Kendall Jenner 'Arrogant,' Uncaring After Dog Bites Girl, Grandfather Says
The police were involved after an incident where Kendall Jenner’s Doberman pinscher “nipped” a little girl, according to TMZ.
Kendall Jenner — and her dog — may be in hot water following an incident at a Los Angeles deli that reportedly led to the police, and animal control, being called.
What started out as a civil issue may even become a public relations nightmare after the grandfather of the little girl involved suggested that Jenner left the scene without making sure the child was okay, according to a new TMZ report.
Jenner was out with rumored beau Ben Simmons and her pet Doberman Pinscher at the Beverly Glen Deli on Sunday, when her dog reportedly “nipped” at a little girl who was also there, TMZ reported.
Deli staffers gave the girl ice for her injury, according to TMZ, adding that the authorities were called after the girl’s mother came back out to “confront” Jenner and Simmons — only to discover that they had left without leaving any contact information.
Police referred the case to animal control, according to the outlet.
A source close to Jenner, however, told TMZ that Jenner’s dog never bit the girl or made contact with her, but was startled by the child, according to a source close to Jenner, who also claimed that Jenner did not leave the deli until she made sure that her dog did not bite the child.
In a later report from TMZ, however, the girl’s grandfather, divorce attorney Robert Cohen, refuted those claims, telling the outlet that Jenner’s dog actually lunged at his granddaughter unprovoked — biting her on the arm, breaking the skin and even drawing blood. Cohen also told TMZ that the couple, whom he described as “arrogant” and uncaring, left without making sure the girl was alright, and called their alleged actions “the height of arrogance.”
People’s report also suggests Jenner was not in the wrong, with a source also claiming that Jenner’s dog was “startled” but “did not bite anyone.”
“The police and emergency services did not come to the scene,” said People’s source. “Kendall didn’t leave until she knew the dog didn’t bite the little girl.”
The outlet also confirmed that cops were called to the deli over an alleged dog bite, but the issue was ultimately determined to be a civil matter rather than a police one, according to an officer of public information with the Los Angeles Police Department.
On Monday afternoon, Kim Kardashian came to her sister’s defense on Twitter. In response to a tweet about the news — and a caption calling Jenner “unsympathetic” and “sadistic” — Kardashian wrote, “Do u know Kendall? She’s the complete opposite & is the most generous, compassionate person I know! Her being standoffish is anxiety that paralyzes her which u take as rude! Only a despicable, entitled, unsympathetic, sadistic, uncharitable @self-absorbed human would write this tweet.”
She added, “PS. Unfortunately what’s in the media isn’t always accurate.”
Jenner also replied to the same tweet, writing, “oof i’m sorry you feel that way. hope to meet you one day to show you the real me, maybe i’ll tell you a little bit about the story too. God bless.”
The 22-year-old model has shared a variety of photos featuring her pup in recent months, with one caption reading, “cute but she’ll rip your face off.”
