French Montana Robbed By Armed Duo In California Home Invasion
The “Unforgettable” rapper was reportedly at home at the time of the incident.
Two men wanted to get French Montana’s house alone, that's for sure.
On Tuesday, the high-profile rapper became the latest celeb hit by an armed robbery.
Police were called to the 33-year-old artist’s Calabasas home around 9 a.m. in response to a home invasion, though the thieves had reportedly left several hours earlier.
At least two armed assailants forced their way into the home, according to TMZ.
Montana and others were present in the home at the time of incident, the outlet reports, though it’s unclear if anyone was injured during the encounter.
The thieves did, however, take personal property from someone inside the home, according to ABC 7 Los Angeles.
Police are investigating the break-in, but have not yet named any suspects.
What happened to Montana — whose real name is Karim Kharbouch — is not a rare occurrence among celebrities. Earlier this month, rapper Tekashi 69 was reportedly kidnapped, robbed, and beaten by armed gunmen.
Another rapper, Rich the Kid, was hospitalized after a home invasion in June turned violent.
