Adrien Broner Arrested For Sexual Battery (Video)
Video shows the boxer being led out of an Atlanta mall in handcuffs.
Former boxing champion Adrien Broner was arrested for sexual battery while visiting a mall in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this week.
Local law enforcement were called to the Lenox Square shopping center on Monday evening, TMZ reports, where a woman told officers that Broner had "inappropriately groped" her. Broner denied the allegations, but was arrested after being interviewed by cops, who reportedly believed that there was enough evidence of misdemeanor sexual battery for an arrest to be made. Broner was transported to the Fulton County Jail and, after appearing in court on Tuesday morning, was released on $2,000 bail that afternoon, ESPN reports.
The incident took place outside of a Louis Vuitton store and was captured on camera by multiple shoppers.
Broner has had multiple brushes with the law over the years, including a 2015 incident where video footage of the former world champion getting arrested on suspicion of a DUI — and then trying to use his fame to talk his way out of it — began circulating online.
