The true-crime series The Real Murders of Atlanta is back for a third season, premiering on Oxygen Saturday, August 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. In Season 3, the series will continue to highlight the murders of Atlanta citizens through interviews with investigators, prosecutors and loved ones.
The upcoming season will kick off with “Death Outside the Ring,” which focuses on world champion boxer Vernon Forrest, who was gunned down in cold blood. "All hands are on deck to bring justice for the fallen Atlanta icon," the episode's synopsis reads. "Atlanta Police Department detectives must figure out if this shooting was random or a result of the victim’s celebrity status."
In the “Death in Powder Springs” episode, premiering Saturday, August 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, a 23-year-old suburban Atlanta mother is shot and left for dead in front of her infant daughter. "Investigators unravel a complicated scheme involving someone close to the victim, shocking the Powder Springs community," the description reads.
