What is Sin City Murders about?
Oxygen has examined unspeakable crimes in New York, Los Angeles, Orange County and Atlanta, and is now venturing to Las Vegas, where the bright lights and good times belie a dark underbelly of evildoing transpiring on the glamorous Strip and in the vast desert surrounding it.
Sin City Murders recounts chilling homicide cases ranging from a greed-motivated casino slaying in the heart of the Strip to a professional hit on a legendary lounge act to a disappearing influencer found encased in a desert tomb, all unique to this vibrant and popular destination. With first-hand accounts by the investigators, who have one of the highest solve rates across the entire U.S., and families who lived through these cases, each hourlong episode unravels a specific investigation that deeply impacted the surrounding Las Vegas community and ultimately highlights the justice that is brought to the victims and their loved ones.
The premiere episode of Sin City Murders, available to watch on Oxygen, is titled “Vanishing of a Showgirl.” When an ambitious Luxor Hotel dancer on the eve of her biggest night misses rehearsal and disappears, Metro detectives investigate an abandoned car, security video and backstage trysts until a grisly discovery stuns the Strip’s close-knit dance community.
