Where to Watch Serial Killer Capital: Los Angeles, a New Oxygen Special

The upcoming Oxygen True Crime special, premiering Sunday, Oct. 20, will revisit a series of violent murders that took place in the City of Angels in the late '70s through the early 2000s.

By Oxygen Staff

Los Angeles, California may be the home to the world's biggest stars, but there's a dark side to the City of Angels.

How to Watch

Watch Serial Killer Capital: Los Angeles on Oxygen and Peacock.

In the 1980s and continuing through the early 2000s, the bodies of murdered women were found throughout the California city, a series of crimes that are explored in the upcoming Oxygen special Serial Killer Capital: Los Angeles.

In the special, investigators detail their efforts to put an end to these senseless killings, which officials thought were the doing of one person, dubbed the Southside Slayer by the media. But as the victim count increased and more remains were found in alleys and parking lots, it became clear there was more than one serial killer terrorizing the streets of L.A., particularly in the neighborhood of South Central.

Officials took one murderer into custody, but the murders continued and investigators realized there was not one killer in the Los Angeles area — there were four.

Serial Killer Capital: Los Angeles will tell the story of the investigations through firsthand accounts by families of victims and survivors, as well as interviews with the law enforcement officials who eventually found justice for many of the murdered women.
