Pick Your Poison: Who Will You Drink Like At The Martinis & Murder Live Show At Death Becomes Us?

We know you have your favorite on Martinis & Murder, and now it is time to show everyone who it is at our live show March 23 at Gramercy Theater.

Are you sassy and spicy like Daryn Carp? Sweet and smooth like John Thrasher? Or dark and twisted like Matt the Bartender? Every attendee at the $10 show will get a free cocktail and souvenir Martinis & Murder glass, plus the chance to see the murder magic in person. What a bargain!

And while these recipes might not be the exact formulations available at the venue, you will be able to pick The Matt (a Manhattan), The Daryn (a Moscow Mule) or The John (a Chocotini). If you can't make it, here's how to drink along at home. 

The Matt
Ingredients
2 ounces Basil Hayden Dark Rye
1 ounce sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters
Brandied cherry
Method
Combine ingredients and stir with ice. Strain and serve up. Garnish with a brandied cherry.

The Daryn
Ingredients
2 ounces Effen vodka
1 lime
Ginger beer
Method
Chop a lime in half. Squeeze half the lime into a glass and throw the lime shell in as well. Fill the glass with ice. Pour in two ounces of vodka, and top with ginger beer. Serve with a stir stick.

The John
Ingredients
2 ounces Baileys Irish Cream
1/2 ounce Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
1/2 ounce Effen Vodka
Chocolate Syrup
Method
Line a glass with a chocolate syrup drizzle. Combine the Irish cream, chocolate liqueur and vodka in a shaker with ice shake, and strain into the glass.
