Ice-T Breaks Twitter, Reveals That He’s Never Eaten A Bagel Or Drank A Cup Of Coffee
Twitter — and the world, to be honest — is very, very upset.
Well, his name isn't Ice-Coffee.
The 60-year-old actor, host of Oxygen's "In Ice Cold Blood" and hip hop icon ignited a Twitter firestorm after revealing that he’s never once eaten a bagel or drank a cup of coffee — despite, as one Twitter user pointed out, portraying a hardboiled New York City detective on “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” for nearly 20 years now.
The drama started on Friday after a fan of the show asked Ice-T why his “Law and Order” character, Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, chose to eat a cinnamon raisin bagel in a recent episode. After Ice-T responded, “that’s what they wrote,” another fan asked what his personal favorite bagel flavor actually is. The rapper, born Tracy Lauren Marrow, then dropped a major bombshell: “I’ve never eaten a Bagel in my life...”
After another fan theorized that Ice surely must have eaten the cinnamon raisin bagel while filming the “Law and Order” episode that kicked off all the food drama, Ice-T simply said, “TV is make believe.”
Ice’s Twitter is the gift that keeps on giving though, because he then shook up Twitter even more with yet another revelation: “I’ve never drank a cup of Coffee either… Go CRAZY!!!”
“I totally stopped eating Breakfast,” Ice explained in another tweet. Unfortunately, he did not expand on his meaning. Has he sworn off breakfast foods altogether? Does he just not eat food in the morning? And will he take up the makers of Philadelphia Cream Cheese on their offer to send him bagels and cream cheese and potentially change his life?
Unfortunately, the nuances of Ice’s dietary choices will probably remain a mystery since he seemed pretty over the whole conversation after a few hours passed. He responded to Twitter’s collective freakout with one simple message: calm down.
“White people.. Don’t lose your Fn minds because I’ve never eaten a Bagle.. Take it easy…. Lol,” he wrote.
Still, having never eaten a bagel or drank coffee? That's almost as disturbing as that time Kylie Jenner casually mentioned that she'd never thought to eat cereal and milk together until earlier this year.
