Family Shares Funeral Photos Of Mom Killed By Pro Boxer In Car Crash Livestream
Zach Kincaid, the husband of Krystil Kincaid, is now sharing photos of his wife's funeral on Facebook. Krystil had been killed by pro boxer Marcos Forestal in a suspected drunk driving accident in Hemet, California.
The husband of a pregnant woman killed in a suspected drunk driving incident is sharing photos of his family grieving the devastating loss. In a heartbreaking Facebook post, the victim's family discussed their feelings about the sentencing the other driver, a pro boxer, potentially faces.
Zach Kincaid, the husband of Krystil Kincaid, shared images of his children at the funeral for their mother and unborn sibling. Krystil was killed in a car crash on September 9, 2018 in Hemet, California, when the reigning World Boxing Federation International Super Bantamweight champion, Marcos Forestal, struck her Chrysler minivan.
“A drunk driver speeding down a two-lane highway at 85+ mph in the wrong lane around a blind corner destroyed my family,” Zach Kincaid wrote on his Facebook page. “The max sentence for killing my wife and daughter is 10 years max. The state of California doesn’t think there was intent, but I know driving recklessly in that manner, he didn’t intend anything good ... my daughter’s due date was October 9th, a 36 week old fully developed baby isn’t considered a person in the state of California."
The images depict Zach and his children at the funeral for Krystil, during which Zach presented the body of the unborn baby killed in the crash to his children.
The vehicular death sparked outrage when video of Forestal livestreaming the results of the collision began going viral. "I had an accident. Guys, look at what happened to me," Forestal can be heard saying in Spanish in the video as he surveys the crash. An Instagram post which shows the footage has since garnered more than 35,000 views. Police suspect Forestal was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
“How do I explain to my children this injustice. My children and I have never felt so disposable ... Look at the devastation left behind that is my family and tell me it isn’t time for change… imagine if this was your famiy [sic] ... Who will fight with me for change? Who will spread this life [sic] wild fire? Who will write their representatives and demand change?? We cannot as a society look the other way any longer,” Zach continued, imploring prosecutors to reconsider the charges against Forestal. “Driving drunk is intent.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Krystil’s family financially.
Forestal pled not guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated on Sept. 12, according to People. He is expected back in court in November, according to The Los Angeles Times.
