Las Vegas Gunman Had "Several Hundred Images" Of Child Porn
A new report reveals that the Vegas gunman possessed hundreds of images of child porn.
Authorities have released a preliminary investigation on the Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock. According to Fox 8, the motive for the mass shooting that took place in October still remains unanswered. But the report showcases new personal information that hints at the mental and emotional state of the shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, including the fact that he had hundreds of images of child porn.
Investigators found “several hundred images of child pornography” on Paddock’s hard drive. The investigation into those images is ongoing. As previously shared, Paddock's brother was said to have been charged for child pornography in the past. Other revelations from the report include the fact that Paddock’s doctor believed he may have been bipolar. The doctor described him as “‘odd” in behavior with “little emotion shown.” When the topic was broached, Paddock “did not want to discuss that topic further with him" and refused to take anti-depressants. He did, however, use anxiety medications. His behavior was also described as “germaphobic."
On October 1, Paddock gunned down people who were attending a music festival from his 32nd floor hotel suite at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The massacre killed at least 59 people and injured more than 851. It is the most deadly mass shooting in modern American history.
Following the shooting, Paddock's history as a gambler was well-publicized. Per the report, Paddock paid off all his gambling debts prior to the shooting. Other information from the report shows that Paddock may have planned the attack well in advance. He was described as behaving strangely at an earlier stay at the Mandalay Bay a month before the shooting. He specifically requested rooms that overlooked the Las Vegas Village. His girlfriend told investigators that she “observed Paddock constantly looking out the windows of the room that overlooked the venue. Paddock would move from window to window looking at the site from different angles.” From his Internet search history, Paddock was also researching other large-scale venues. These searches date back back to May 18, 2017. At that time, most of the venues being looked at were in Boston.
Stephen Paddock killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the mouth during the incident.
