Missouri Couple Accused Of Keeping Teen Girl As ‘Sex Slave’ For 15 Months
The young teen was allegedly kept as a slave for more than a year, and was sometimes blindfolded and handcuffed.
On Friday, a married couple from Strafford, Missouri were charged with sex crimes for allegedly raping a teen girl they kept as a sex slave in their house for about 15 months.
The girl, only now 15, was allegedly forced to engage in sexual acts with Larry and Alicia Dykes, both 42. The alleged abuse began when the girl was just 13 years old, according to The Kansas City Star.
“This couple had this girl as a sex slave,” Webster County Prosecutor Ben Berkstresser said.
The allegations are disturbing. According to court documents, the girl was sometimes raped by Larry as Alicia watched. Sometimes she was blindfolded or handcuffed. Sometimes, she was allegedly forced to perform oral sex on Larry.
Larry has been charged with 10 felony counts of rape or statutory sodomy while his wife has been charged with three.
Berkstresser said that there is also a second alleged victim. It is not clear how the couple knew either victim.
Both husband and wife are in jail on half a million dollar bonds, according to the Associated Press. The Associated Press reports that Larry’s attorney isn’t returning calls and that Alicia doesn’t have one at all.
According to People, the victim’s friend found out about the alleged abuse and told the authorities.
