Woman Allegedly Attacked Husband After She Asked Him If She Looked Pretty ... And He Didn't Respond
Lizeth Ramirez and her husband were out at a movie when things allegedly turned ugly.
Things allegedly turned violent in Southern Texas after a woman asked her common-law husband if he thought she looked pretty and he didn’t give her the response she wanted.
Lizeth Guadalupe Ramirez, 20, of Laredo claimed that her husband assaulted her and tried to strangle her when law enforcement arrived to their home Tuesday for a domestic assault complaint, The Laredo Morning Times reports.
The husband, whose name has not been released, told police a different story, however. He said the couple were at the movies when Ramirez asked him if she looked pretty that day.
He didn’t answer, though he claimed that was because he just didn't hear the question.
But, his wife didn’t appear to believe that and allegedly felt slighted.
Heading home, Ramirez's husband says she hit him repeatedly as he was driving. Once they arrived back home, the alleged violence did not stop. Ramirez allegedly pushed and hit her husband some more, according to the Laredo Morning Times. A relative tried to intervene, but Ramirez allegedly attacked them too.
She was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and family violence, according to jail records. It’s not clear if she has a lawyer who can speak on her behalf at this time.
