Japanese Woman Claims She Was Starved By Grandpa, Shares Horrific Images
The woman tweeted photos of her weighing just 37 pounds. She said her grandfather starved her and physically abused her if she tried to eat.
A woman from Japan has shared shocking photographs of her on Twitter. The woman, now in her twenties, shared a series of photos from a decade ago. They reveal that she weighed just 37 pounds. The selfies, according to the woman, were snapped right before she was hospitalized a decade ago. She looks extremely emancipated.
She said her own grandfather was to blame for her starvation, claiming that he refused to give her food or physically abused her when he caught her eating.
“It has been almost ten years since then,” she tweeted. “I was not allowed to eat from my grandfather, and it fell until I was kicked belly and 16kg weight until I vomited if I ate silently.”
She said she was told at the hospital that if she arrived even ten minutes later she could be dead. The woman had a message for those who are starving by self-induced measures.
“People who are abused, this is a little different, but eating disorders, ask for help before it's too late,” a translation of her tweet says.
She also shared photographs of her with bruises.
The woman is now a normal weight and appears to be doing well. She is pictured below, left.
It is unclear if any legal action was taken against her grandfather. It is also unclear how she escaped the abuse.
