Florida Mom And Four Kids Have Been Missing For Six Weeks
“I’ve never been so scared,” the missing woman's mother said as the weeks drag on since the family was last seen.
A search is under way for a missing Florida mom and her four children after authorities say the family has not been seen in six weeks.
Casei Jones, 32, and her four children –– Cameron Bowers,10, Preston Bowers, 5, Mercalli Jones, 3, and Aiyana Jones, 1 –– were last seen in Ocala, Florida approximately six weeks ago, according to a statement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Casei Jones’ friends and family haven’t seen the missing Florida mom since and have become increasingly concerned for her safety as there are few clues to their whereabouts.
“I’ve never been so scared,” Jones’ mother Nikki Jones, told local station WOFL.
According to her, investigators went to the family’s home but were unable to find any sign of the them.
“The house is empty,” Nikki Jones said.
The family of five was first reported missing on Sunday, Fox News reports. It's not clear why the family wasn’t reported missing earlier.
Authorities now believe the family could be “endangered” and said Casei Jones may be driving a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica with Florida tag 91SEJ.
Investigators have not said whether there was any reason to believe the family may have willingly left on their own, but have asked that anyone with information about the missing Florida family contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 352-732-9111.
Due to the length of time the family has been missing, there has been no organized search party created to look for Casei Jones and her children at this time.
