Chris Watts Provides New Details On Murders Of Wife, Children To Colorado Investigators
Chris Watts' father, Ronnie Watts, said that that he was "confused why they went out there in the first place," adding that he speaks to his son every night.
Chris Watts, the Colorado man sentenced to life in prison for the murders of his wife and two young daughters, has reportedly provided more information about the grisly killings to state investigators.
Investigators visited Watts at the Waupun, Wisc.’s Dodge Correctional Institution on Feb. 18, according to a statement issued Thursday by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Watts met with Frederick Police Department Detective Dave Baumhover, FBI Special Agent Grahm Coder and CBI Agent Tammy Lee, ABC News reports.
Chris’ father, Ronnie Watts, told ABC said he was “confused why they went out there in the first place.”
“It’s over and done with,” he told the network.
He also said that “I know he didn’t kill those girls,” adding that he speaks to his son every night and that Chris Watts “knows the Bible inside and out.”
Last November, Watts was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the murder of his pregnant wife, Shanann, 34, and his two daughters, 4-year-old Bella and 3-year-old Celeste. He was also given 48 years for the death of his wife’s unborn child, with whom she was 15 weeks pregnant with.
"You don't know what love is ... you monster. ... You carry them out like trash ... you heartless monster,” Shanann’s father Frank Rzucek told Watts in court before the sentencing.
Last week, footage obtained by Oxygen.com showed a pregnant Shanann Watts returning from a business trip shortly before she was killed in August.
Chris Watts initially lied to investigators about his missing wife and kids, with Chris portraying himself as a concerned father and husband before the truth came out.
