Actor and wrestler Sasha Banks had a rough day on Tuesday after a thief busted the back window of her car and stole some of her property.
Banks, whose real name is Mercedes Varnado, shared via Instagram story the aftermath of the incident as well as security footage of a man dressed in all black smashing the window of her green Toyota Corolla Crossover at around 2:15 p.m. PST in Oakland, California. The footage shows the suspect apparently scoping out the interior of the car, which was parked on the street, before bashing in the window and hastily reaching in to grab whatever he could. He then ran into the back seat of a silver sedan, which sped off.
Fortunately, Banks was not in the car at the time and mentioned in a follow-up Instagram story that nothing too important was taken.
“Have fun with the hair products,” she captioned one of the videos along with a middle finger emoji.
In another video, she showed half of her car’s back window completely broken in and lamented how quickly it happened during her time in Oakland, where she and former tag-team partner Naomi (Trinity Fatu) were in town for the red carpet premiere of the Marvel series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.”
“Five minutes in Oakland,” a frustrated Banks says while standing in front of the damage and sporting a Boston Red Sox cap. “Just five minutes! UUGH!”
The break-in comes during a tumultuous time for Banks after she and Naomi were suspended indefinitely from WWE in May after walking out on “Monday Night RAW." They have not been seen on WWE programming since.
However, Banks has other creative irons in the fire. Specifically, she’s appeared on the “Star Wars” spinoff series “The Mandalorian” as Koska Reeves, a fellow Mandalorian who, along with a band of other warriors like herself, crosses paths with the show’s titular Din Djarin on his high-stakes galactic quest.
Although she previously told The Blueprint she will not appear in Season 3 of the show, fans speculate that Koska Reeves could make a sure rprise return.
You can catch Sasha Banks in past WWE content on Peacock and "Monday Night RAW" on USA Network.
