Police believe that DNA helped crack the case of the Golden State Killer. Now, what about the Zodiac Killer, another elusive serial killer who terrorized California? 

      Now, the prosecution is just inches away from obtaining more evidence, including DNA, which may link James DeAngelo to other crimes. 

Joseph DeAngelo's public defender wants to block efforts to collect DNA, fingerprints and body photographs.

The book is part memoir and part investigation into the dozens of crimes that terrorized California.

Craig Coley served nearly 40 years for a killing that might have been the work of the Golden State Killer.

He called out "I hate you, Bonnie!" during one of his sexual assaults. 

He lived a quiet life in the suburbs, raised three daughters and was cooking a roast when agents arrested him.

Investigators used "abandoned" DNA samples to capture Joseph James DeAngelo.

Joseph James DeAngelo is suspected of having committed dozens of crimes, including at least 12 murders and 50 rapes.

The list shows that officials believe the crime spree started two years earlier than authorities believed.
