Newly Released Docs Reveal Shocking Details In Lori Vallow Case, Including Last Known Photo Of Son
The documents allege that Alex Cox left the country just three days after shooting his sister Lori Vallow's former husband to death.
Over 2,500 pages of evidence have been released by police in Arizona, revealing new and shocking information in the very complicated and high-profile Lori Vallow case.
The Chandler Police Department released the documents — mostly emails — following records requests submitted by the media, East Idaho News reports.
Both Lori Vallow and her fifth husband Chad Daybell are currently facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree murder in Idaho in connection with the death of Lori’s children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow. Their bodies were discovered buried on Chad’s property in June of 2020.
The Maricopa County Attorney announced earlier this month that a grand jury has indicted Vallow on one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder for her fourth husband Charles Vallow’s death. Her brother Alex Cox fatally shot him in 2019 before he died months later of an apparent pulmonary embolism.
Chad is also accused of killing his former spouse in 2019. His wife Tammy Daybell was found dead in the former couple’s Idaho home and while her death was originally considered natural, now investigators feel foul play was involved.
The newly released police documents now reveal that Cox took a trip to Colombia just three days after shooting his sister’s former husband.
It also reveals that in 2019, Lori’s sister-in-law emailed detectives offering theories as to why Cox killed Charles Vallow. Additionally, she alleged in that email that Cox shot one dog to death and abandoned two of his sister’s dogs in the desert because she didn’t want them.
The pile of documents includes a photo from Lori Vallow’s iCloud account showing the last possible photo of JJ alive. The photo is dated noon on Sept. 22, 2019, the last known day he was seen. He is wearing red pajamas, which is what he was still wearing when his remains were discovered, according to EastIdahoNews.
Just a day later, Lori’s phone allegedly captured multiple pictures of rifle ammunition at a gun shop in Idaho Falls.
The evidence allegedly shows that Lori flew from Arizona to Idaho in October one day after Tammy died and that she and Chad were seen holding hands days after. They wed the next month.
Hundreds of screenshots from an online forum, Another Voice of Warning (AVOW), that often discusses the apocalypse are included in the documents. Chad was a contributor to the site. Chad has authored several books that feature doomsday visions.
