Group Allegedly Raped Teen Girl At Shopping Mall, Then Posted The Video To Snapchat
Authorities say a 17-year-old female lured the 15-year-old to the shopping mall, where the two men plied her with alcohol and then sexually assaulted her twice.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Georgia after authorities say the assault was filmed and posted on Snapchat.
Miguel Angel Holloway Boulai, 18, and Demauri Stevens Gumbs, 20, are now facing charges of rape and child sexual exploitation after Newnan police said the two men sexually assaulted the teen girl at a shopping mall in May, according to The Newnan Times Herald.
A 17-year-old female has also been charged in the case with child sexual exploitation after authorities said she lured the 15-year-old girl to the Ashley Park shopping mall on May 27 to meet up with Gumbs and Boulai, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
Police said the teenage victim was plied with alcohol before Gumbs and Boulai sexually assaulted her in an office building and again later in a car parked at a nearby apartment complex.
The 17-year-old female allegedly filmed the sexual assaults and later shared the video with someone on Snapchat, police said.
Police learned of the alleged rape after the teenage victim told her mother about what had happened and her mother called police.
Gumbs was taken into custody on June 26 and Boulai was arrested a few days later on June 30, according to online jail records.
Both men were denied bond at their first court appearance and are currently being held at the Coweta County Jail.
The female charged in the case has been released on a $3,500 bond, according to The Newnan Times Herald.
