Man Who Threatened Tech CEOs Also Facing Child Porn Charges After Being Found With 'Child-Like Sex Doll,' Feds Say
Matthew Bryan Thilges allegedly stated that he wanted to “stick a sword right through” YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and claimed that Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey “must die,” according to an affdiavit.
A Missouri man accused of making threats against the heads of prominent tech companies, and Democrats in general, is also facing child porn charges after federal authorities raided his home and allegedly found, among other things, a "child-like sex doll."
Matthew Bryan Thilges, 56, of Jefferson County pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of attempted production of child porn and receipt of child porn, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
The FBI had raided his mobile home in rural Missouri in October after monitoring months worth of threats he had allegedly been posting online. Back in July, he allegedly stated he wanted to “stick a sword right through” YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki and said Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey “must die,” according to an FBI affidavit.
By October, he allegedly posted "Kill ALL democrats," starting with people at Google, Alphabet (Google's parent company) and YouTube.
“Democrat children are easier to shoot than democrat ‘parents,’” he allegedly stated. The FBI claims he also made threatening comments about Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who authorities say was by militia members in a kidnapping plot earlier this year.
“No more talk,” Thilges allegedly wrote in the early part of October. “Just shoot to kill. Anywhere and everywhere. I am a staunch vehement conservative libertarian and I have absolutely had enough of government thugs and government bureaucrats.”
As the FBI raided Thilges' home, they claimed to have found multiple guns, including eight assault rifles. In addition, they found loaded 100-round drum magazines and a tactical vest with three loaded pistol magazines and four loaded rifle magazines, according to the affidavit.
They allegedly also found thousands of images, which Thilges attempted to delete, of child porn on his computer, in addition to photos of a partially clothed girl on his phone. In his closet, they claim to have found a “child-like sex doll” which stood at nearly four feet tall.
Thilges has been ordered to be held in jail until his trial.
