'Marrying Millions' Star Bill Hutchinson Pleads Not Guilty To Rape Of Unconscious Teenager
Prosecutors have accused Bill Hutchinson of sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls he'd taken to his Laguna Beach, California vacation home on several occasions.
"Marrying Millions" star Bill Hutchinson pleaded not guilty this week to charges that he raped an unconscious 16-year-old earlier this year while at his Laguna Beach, California home.
Hutchinson entered the not guilty plea Tuesday in an Orange County courtroom, according to The Orange County Register.
The television personality is facing one count of rape of an unconscious person and five misdemeanor counts of sexual battery in the state after the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that he had been accused of sexually assaulting two 16-year-old girls.
The charges against him in California were filed just one day after Hutchinson was charged with felony sexual assault in Texas in an alleged incident involving a 16-year-old girl who had been living at his Dallas-area home.
Prosecutors said the star of the Lifetime show is accused of bringing two girls on vacation to his Laguna Beach home on two different trips in April, raping one of the girls while she was unconscious and committing four acts of sexual battery against her.
Authorities said when the teen refused to return to the vacation home with him in May, he committed sexual battery against the other 16-year-old girl.
Hutchinson declined to speak to reporters after Tuesday's court hearing; however, one of his attorneys, Jacqueline Goodman, denied the allegations against him, according to the paper.
“I never say this, but he is innocent,” she said while leaving the courthouse.
One of the alleged victims in the California case is reportedly the same teen associated with his charges in Texas.
The teen had been living with Hutchinson in Texas after her family moved and she wanted to stay in the area to finish her junior year of high school and be with her friends, according to an affidavit obtained by Oxygen.com. The girl later told police that Hutchinson, a successful real estate developer, provided her and other teens staying at the house with alcohol and marijuana.
She accused Hutchinson of touching her inappropriately, including on her breasts, and giving her massages. On one occasion she alleged that she had fallen asleep on the couch and woke up to find Hutchinson digitally penetrating her without her consent, according to the court documents.
Hutchinson’s attorney, Dan Hagood, told TMZ that the teen’s claims, both in Texas and California, are “fantastical” and said he believes the allegations could have had financial motives.
If convicted on the latest charges, Hutchinson could face a maximum sentence of eight years in state prison and two and a half years in Orange County jail, prosecutors said.
Hutchinson was released on a $100,000 bond, according to the paper. He also remains out on bond in Texas.
Hutchinson has appeared on both seasons of the Lifetime reality show “Marrying Millions,” which chronicled his romance with his 23-year-old fiancé, Brianna Ramirez.
The two met while Ramirez was working as a hostess at a local Tex-Mex restaurant, People reported.
